Scary Animals – Mission Story
This mission story, “Scary Animals”, shows how a simple Bible truth can change a life and lead to a powerful witness for God.
Mission Story Summary
- Dieudonne had served God for many years, preaching on university campuses and bringing people to church.
- He was committed, active, and confident in his beliefs.
- At the age of 68, he received an unexpected invitation to attend Adventist evangelistic meetings.
- Curious, he went with his wife.
- At the entrance, they saw large images of strange and frightening animals.
- His wife felt uncomfortable and chose to leave.
- Dieudonne decided to stay and listen.
- As the message was presented, he learned that the animals came from the books of Daniel and Revelation.
- He realized that these were biblical teachings he had never fully understood before.
- He continued attending night after night, learning new truths from the Bible.
- One evening, a simple Bible reading changed everything.
- From Luke 24, he clearly saw that the first day of the week is Sunday.
- For the first time, he understood that the true Sabbath is Saturday.
- This discovery touched him deeply.
- Without hesitation, he chose to be baptized again, this time fully following the truth he had learned.
- At home, he shared everything with his wife.
- She also accepted the truth and was baptized.
- Soon, several of his grandchildren followed the same path.
- Today, Dieudonne is still active in mission.
- He now teaches the Bible in his community and invites people to study and follow God.
- In a short time, many have joined the church through his efforts.
